James Bros. Construction is offering the

Wayne Orval James—Community First Scholarship

In Honor of Wayne James, The Company’s Founder.

Wayne along with his wife Teri started James Bros Construction in 1978. Along the way, Wayne invited his family to join him in the development of the company.  At the core, Wayne valued faith, family, and community more than anything else. You could often find him supporting a new local business, offering a helping hand to a new entrepreneur, and lending support to local communities and schools. He was a community man through and through and believed in the value of local business. He loved being a member of the Southern Minnesota communities and was proud to have built a thriving business in the same area he called “home.”

In an effort to honor Wayne’s legacy, James Bros. Construction is awarding our first annual, “Wayne Orval James—Community First Scholarship,” in the amount of $500. There will be three scholarships offered; one to a WEM student, one to a JWP student, and one to a Waseca student. These deserving seniors will demonstrate a passion for their local community through volunteerism and engagement in school and community activities. These students will also be able to describe the value and impact of  the local community on their own life.

Applications are available at each school and students may contact their school’s counseling office to receive an application.
